If you've known me since high school and this somehow looks familiar to you, it's because it was the same colors of my prom dress. (Still LOVE my prom dress! A gorgeous vintage 60s gown that was as timeless and beautiful at its time, at my prom time and it's still pretty now (down in my basement). I'll have to find a picture and post it so you can see. 


Why It Works as a Pin Up Outfit for Work


This is one of my "boho pinup" looks: a mix of late 60s bohemian chic with the scarf, and late 50s pinup with the belt and pencil skirt. I think yellow with a dash of pink is one of my best color combos (at least as a redhead). 

I wore this for my final Saturday in New Orleans, back in February. A fun day with Mom, we went thrift store shopping on Magazine St and to the NOLA Brewery on Tchoupitoulas.


Cheap Pin Up Fashion Elements


Though I did get quite a lot of great bargains at No Fleas during said trip, this skirt from there was actually purchased a few years earlier. First a trip to the VooDoo Museum for career oriented gris gris, then I found this $10 pencil skirt at No Fleas and voila! I was ready for my upcoming job interview, which I definitely got. So thanks! 

The belt was $3 at Bloomin' Deals and the tank from Old Navy was around $2.
