#BohemianBudget At-Home #Facial - "Girl You Don't Need Makeup"

Who needs makeup when you have Instagram filters? Anyway, that's me without any, but right after an at home facial, so it's kind of cheating. I was inspired to share after watching this hilarious video from the always prescient Amy Schumer:

My at-home facial is quite fun and cheap (as ever) to-do. You can get everything at the dollar store or grocery store, except the lavender oil, unless it's a hippie grocery store.

1) Start a hot bath of green tea, epson salt, lavender oil. I tie a bunch of tea bags together and let them steep as the tub fills up, though I set two aside for when I get in. I pour a 1/2 cup of epson salt in and a couple drops of lavender oil.

2) Wash face as normal with whatever facial soap you use. I use Aveeno oatmeal for dry skin.

3) In a tiny dish place 5 *uncoated* aspirin, half tsp of honey and a few drops of water. Use the back of a tsp to mash and then mix the ingredients. I use this for a facial mask with the green tea bags as I soak in the tub.Wring out the 2 tea bags and place over eyes while soaking. More info from this great little link.

4) Rinse face off with the bath water then use a fresh clean fluffy towel to dry your face, but do so a bit roughly as means of exfoliating. Rinse face off again with warm watter.

5) Use with witch hazel and a bit of water on a large cotton ball or several small bunched cotton balls as and astringent.

6) Moisturize with your usual facial moisturizer.
